Toilet Room Decorating Ideas Pinterest – Welcome to our home improvement series to turn your newly renovated home into the home of your dreams! If you haven’t seen the previous episodes where I demoed the house, renovated it, and finally started decorating it, check out the playlist here . I completely redid the basement bathroom, updated the kitchen, remodeled the bedrooms, finished the upstairs tenant unit, finished the functional entryway, and finished the entryway.

My next task is a unique space: the bathroom! You may have seen the bathroom makeover in my spa basement, but this space does not include my bathroom. To ensure privacy, we have created a small separate area for toilets, which will be constructed during this week.

I didn’t know where to start from this place. I hung the sconce down a bit and added a gold toilet paper holder. One thing I knew I needed here and purposefully moved the bathroom forward in the reno was storage. So I built a small closet using plywood on the shelf behind the toilet.

Next was the paint. I decided to use a dark terracotta color to add warmth and a bit of atmosphere to this small space and installed square lattice wood trim painted in the same color down the center of the wall. I also painted the cabinets first to give it an overall cohesive feel!

Finally, we replaced the vent covers on the 100-year-old house and added small decorative pieces. Check out the complete bathroom makeover!

I am very satisfied with this result. I still think I should add wallpaper or something like that to the top, but for now I like how it works! As always, check out the video below to see the full journey!

Guys, there’s a reason you rarely see much of my bathroom. As far as I’m concerned, a complete renovation is not possible depending on priorities and funding. But the part of our bathroom that bothers me the most is the toilet in the master bathroom. Well, we’ve talked about the amazing transformation that’s coming, but we’ve kept quiet about what kind of place it’s going to be… Excited to share what we were able to achieve in such a short time. more than two days. We don’t hear much about what bathrooms should look like or what they are capable of. Before, it was an empty room like a normal dungeon. Without natural light, the color looks too dark and gloomy. Can you believe this is the same super bright and bright looking paint that is in our great room?!

When I decided to start this project, I considered many things. 1. It should be quick and relatively painless. I was in the middle of a big master bedroom overhaul (it’s coming Thursday!) and didn’t want to do any work.

Hard worker. 2. I want to make the most of this space and add some features. Even though the room is small (hello, that’s where the bathroom is), it’s still big enough to accommodate creative storage solutions and space concerns. 3. I wanted it to be “happy”, light and bright. Result?

Toilet Room Makeover Reveal And Clever Bathroom Storage

. What you need to do is improve the appearance and store the tiles without tearing or grouting. No need to order from multiple places. Bed Bath & Beyond had everything, even wallpaper and lighting. (I didn’t even know they had stuff like that, let alone furniture like dressers). I also signed up for their new Beyond+ program. Get 20% off your entire purchase for just $29 and free shipping on all orders. You can find more information on how to sign up here. I loved having everything show up at my door, but when everything arrived I made a quick trip to the store to make sure I hadn’t forgotten anything. (And I checked out the gadget wall, which is my favorite part of shopping at BB&B). They have my favorite cleansing line (I’ve talked about it many times), so I bought a few more bottles of Asha.

So there were some areas that we covered. 1. Walls (new paint and wallpaper), 2. Lamps (removing the ‘chest lamp’), 3. Storage, and finally 4. Accessories. The first thing I did was remove everything (there wasn’t much! haha), remove the lamp, and paint the walls with Benjamin Moore Simply White paint left over from the bedroom. I’m not a painter, but since the room is small, I thought I might as well tear it down. I didn’t expect to need to bring in working lights outside (what if you remove a fixture without natural light?! haha) or multiple coats (using primer, different ceiling colors, etc. Prepare for .) and I prayed that they would perform well once the lights were on. (Luckily it was!) The painting was honestly 3/4 of the job for the entire room. Oh, and if you want to dye like me, tie your hair up in the highest, highest bun you can to add textural strokes to any wall and make sure you leave it for two weeks. Still getting color out of your tresses 😉

Then, Dave hangs the lantern. I wanted to stick with chrome fixtures because I was going for a light, bright, and classy modern look, but I wanted to add a little more detail to the toilet. These lanterns come in a variety of colors and sizes, but have three lights.

Dave also fainted. I love very soft lighting, especially in the middle of the night. Yes please!

The Smallest Room: Downstairs Toilet Ideas

The next part of the project was the part I was most skeptical about, but turned out to be my favorite part. Since the room is so small, I wanted some kind of feature/detail wall. But like I said, I wanted something quick and painless and I didn’t have the budget to hire someone for something crazy. I love this wallpaper restoration trend, but I also don’t trust myself that it won’t ruin expensive paper (and my walls). Having never wallpapered before (my wallpaper saw what happened to hanging grass beams over my built-ins) I didn’t want to. But (again, surprised), while browsing, I came across a selection of temporary, peel and stick wallpaper at Bed Bath & Beyond (see them all here). The instructions say it won’t damage the wall and can be removed when the job is done. It was so cheap that, at worst, I figured I’d get in the middle of it, throw it away when I decided I couldn’t do it, and pretend it was never possible. . I reluctantly decided to use a box cutter and ruler (as my trimming tools haha). It’s not the easiest thing I’ve ever done, but it was actually pretty easy with patience.

(Be sure to grab some sick pants for this project! Line up the seams and make sure everything hangs perfectly straight and not for the faint of heart 😉)

. This part of the project took the second longest. There are three drops on the back wall. Although I ordered two rolls, there were still more left over. As you can imagine, the corners (the last bits) and the bathroom were the hardest to get around. For each piece, I had to excitedly snap pictures to show Dave my progress. Guys, I’m so glad you decided to challenge it a bit.

However, it was almost impossible to hang a storage cabinet (one of the first parts of the original plan) for fear of taking up too much space. When I share my bathroom organization projects (closet here), (closets and drawers here), I get a lot of questions about where I store my cleaning supplies. Fortunately, you have plenty of storage space, but if you don’t, or you’re looking for a solution other than taking up valuable space under the sink, an over-the-toilet cabinet in your bathroom is a great option. The wall provides the best space. For more storage.
