Bathroom Ideas Youtube – When I started thinking about how to approach my bathroom design, I really struggled to come up with ideas for small bathrooms with a separate shower and tub, given the relatively small size and layout of my bathroom.
I quickly discovered that I was making life difficult for myself by eating very small images of the bathroom. I was a little worried about choosing a particular design or item that didn’t fit the shape of my bathroom. The best way for me is to take a step back from the photos and define my layout and, within those parameters, find items that fit my bathroom and lifestyle.

My compact bathroom measures 2,100mm by 2,740mm and has a ceiling height of 2,570mm. It has an open window facing west, so that the bathroom does not receive direct sunlight until the afternoon, and the door is diagonally opposite the window. The bathroom is located in the fixed part of the house, above the kitchen, so most of the walls behind the tiles are brick
Designing Showers For Small Bathrooms
To help plan my bathroom layout, I’ve listed Rob and my boyfriend’s likes and dislikes (aesthetics aside) in our current bathroom. I then recorded our wish list of how we would like to use the bathroom and what we would like the room to look like.
It may seem strange to those who see a small bathroom only as a functional space, but I personally associate words and phrases like “relaxation” and “space to think” with my bathroom. Once I had this information, I focused on best plumbing practices, especially for bathrooms. I always recommend speaking to your builder/plumber to find out what is possible
All of the above helped me map out all the requirements I needed to complete the layout and plan for details like storage space and hidden electrical outlets. Both Rob and I mostly have showers, so the wish list includes a luxurious walk-in experience. I also like to shower every now and then, and while I don’t plan on moving home anytime soon, the shower is a good selling point , so I wanted to reserve an area for a separate bathroom.

A light colored microcement will be used on the walls, floor and ceiling – inspiration below I will add a touch of personality with artwork, ceramics and plants

The makeup mirror will be matte white and have an organic shape as in the example below with two mini-bright wall lamps with wool thread. The microcemented sinks will be equipped with drawers for storing personal hygiene products.

In recent photos of the bathroom you can see that in the corner of the room there is an unnecessary piece of fireplace. Instead of removing it, builders will make sure it is structurally sound to become a backup
A small heated towel rail will be used so as not to dominate the small space and a specially shaped tub will be installed to provide a little more space.
