Bathroom Decorating Ideas For Kids – Designing the perfect bathroom for your kids can be all fun and games. To put together a bathroom that looks functional, attractive and creative, you need to think about what you want in the room and how it affects how your children will see it. Here are some ideas to help you create a beautiful and creative bathroom
Color is a great way to choose beautiful and fun colors for a children’s bathroom. It can be turquoise and white, yellow and white, pink, blue and white and so on depending on the colors your kids like. If you do not choose a color scheme and do not want to change, colorful tiles, bright and shiny, combine all kinds of posters or favorite characters, create a beautiful color and a beautiful face and fun, paint the bathtub. Create a colorful tile pattern in some bright colors, a bright accent wall, provide colorful sinks, or create a mirror that sparkles with light.

There are so many rooms in this house, I’m 80% there and it took me forever to do the last 20%! The kids’ bathroom was one of them, so I didn’t mind finishing it and cut it in half with Andy on a camping trip. Done with pigeons 🙂 Affiliate links are available in this post
Although I don’t hang out in this bathroom very often, it’s my favorite place in the house because I think it has a lot of character. I played it really safe when I rebuilt this house, we knew we weren’t going to be here long… I mean I was a mental sell when I built it. I want to make sure that I have not made too many personal design choices that can imagine themselves here and not be released from wild choice. Don’t get me wrong…I had fun with the navy wainscoting in the pantry…but it’s easy to change if needed.
I decided to have a little fun with the kid’s bathroom design, I decided to paint the cabinets in their bathroom the same navy color as the kitchen island and I love it. We kept the countertops the same throughout the house because we had to buy a lot of slabs for other parts of the house, so they used the rest for additional counters. So, it follows the look of the white and gray cabinets and the blue cabinets, and the white subway tile is easy to move along the rest of the wall of the sink.

The renovation cost was more than we wanted to spend, (don’t let the numbers on HGTV fool you!) so I was on a tight budget when it came to tile and finish, which meant finding creative ways. This floor tile recommended at Home Depot is a 12×24 light gray tile with just a hint of pattern. It looks like brushed metal which works great with gray and white cabinets and blue cabinets and saves us money 😉
Baby shower design I used navy subway tile and I combined two rows of white subway tile, then two rows of navy to create the effect. I wonder how this happened and it’s fun to see unexpected patterns and colors in the white space.
The bathroom was expanded by using the former laundry room walk in as a new vanity in the kids bathroom design because we now have new space for two vanities and the old sinks and old stories are out of place. I couldn’t leave the big open and empty space where I removed the old sink, so I decided to add a bench underneath, storage for baskets, towel hooks and a top shelf for storage and quality. Design features that dress up the bathroom a bit
On the bench I added a cute and inexpensive pre-made navy and white striped outdoor cushion and some fun blue and white towels on hooks to bring in the colors. Eventually I will make a bench, but these metal baskets are perfect for the top shelf, at first I thought of painting them blue to bring more color and contrast since they were sitting on white shelves, but in the end I decided I like them white and how they blend. Since we have a basket on the bottom that really stands out on the outside, the shell is a more muted design choice
Beautiful Green Kids Bathroom Ideas & Designs
To save money I went with the classic chrome fixtures of the house except for the laundry room sink. I used a satin nib and tan and could only find the light I wanted in the satin finish, so I used the satin finish on the mirror to bind it. No problem mixing chrome and satin
The rug over this sink is really soft, especially with the addition of this rug, and keeps feet from getting too cold on the tiles…especially this winter! I love natural hemp in baskets, rugs and bowls to warm a space and add texture. Green and amber white soap dispensers help warm up
So there you have it, baby shower design all wrapped up and done!! Alas! I need to take a picture so I can remember clearly 😉
