Small Bathroom Inspiration

Small Bathroom Inspiration – Small bathrooms are common in every home; whether it’s because you live in a built-up area where the space is too high, or because you’ve added a new en-suite to the space.

But a small bathroom doesn’t have to feel loveless and basic, and by making the most of your space, a small bathroom can look and feel great.

Small Bathroom Inspiration

Here are our small bathroom ideas to maximize your space, as well as some of the best small bathrooms around to give you great inspiration.

A Small Bathroom Makeover.

This bathroom by @Thehousethatjenbuilt_ is the ultimate master of how to make a small bathroom look great and maximize the space. We often think that a small bathroom should have some things to make it spacious, but this bathroom looks beautiful and elegant.

First, there is a lot of flow that opens up the space – the shutters provide privacy without blocking the light. The storage unit is cleverly placed above the toilet with the beautiful towels shown above. The submersible console is smaller in size and wall hung, so it does not take up much space.

We love the freestanding bathtub in this small bathroom. It’s wall mounted so it doesn’t take up too much space and has the coolest crystal shower screen that looks great and keeps water from splashing everywhere. Such a great place with lots of great small bathroom ideas.

We saw this bathroom from the Insta account @prettyprospectcottage and thought it was such a great bathroom – it’s both chic and luxurious.

Small Bathroom Design Ideas That Enhance The Size

Lilypad tiles are dark and bold and give this bathroom an impression of depth. White subway tiles do a great job of making this bathroom feel roomy and spacious and complement the feature tiles perfectly.

A shower over the bath works great, especially if you have a bathroom and don’t want to convert a smaller space into a shower room.

This bathroom has lots of details with brass faucets and accessories, showing that you don’t need to create a small bathroom just to look great.

Mirrors reflect light from the floor, giving the illusion of space and are a great small bathroom idea to make the space look bigger than it is. Be brave and look for a large or full-wall mirror if possible.

Small Bathroom Ideas: Eight Style Tips For A Small Space

This master bathroom by Loud Architects is absolutely stunning and packs a punch for a small space. The combination of blue and bronze keeps it that way while still looking great. Wall mounted toilets and basins are a great way to save floor space and a mix of tiles adds so much detail. This bathroom uses underfloor heating, which frees up wall space, rather than underfloor heating. If your home does not have radiant heating, underfloor heating works well in a bathroom that takes up little space.

A shower over the bath is an obvious space-saving idea and is perfect if you don’t want to give up a bath in a small bathroom. Even if you don’t have a bathroom, maintaining a bathroom is a good move if you plan to sell your home.

The final style of this bathroom is the door – this bathroom has a pocket door, a great idea for a small bathroom because you won’t be able to open the door in the space. If your closet doesn’t have a door, try opening the door to the hallway or bedroom instead of the bathroom.

Honestly, if you think outside the box, you can fit everything in a small bathroom just by being smart. A small bathroom doesn’t mean you have to dig your own bathroom if you love to relax in your sanctuary! If you don’t have a big budget, plumbing will be a limiting factor, but if you want to spend a little more money, you can turn things around to match the layout of your dreams.

Creative Design Ideas To Increase Functionality For A Small Bathroom

Posted by @_backtobrick_ on Instagram, this small bathroom is one of the best small bathroom designs I’ve seen with a large shower and freestanding bath in the space. The walk-in shower is large because it uses the entire width of the room and the bath is placed on a raised platform behind the shower, defining the separate bathroom. We also love the decor here with the small hexagonal tiles set against the large white subway tiles. The bathroom and shower have clever shelves that give plenty of space for the toilet. We just love it!

A walk in shower is a great small bathroom idea that can be extended with a large shower if you have a long space.

In this gorgeous shower room from Insta account @liznylon, a large black shower works just as well as such a great feature. A partial shower screen adds to the feeling of space, giving the feel of a walk-in shower while still having an inlet to prevent spray.

We love the monochrome look paired with soft pinks and greens for a bright and fresh look. The entry console has plenty of storage, so it’s practical and stylish.

Easy Budget Small Bathroom Ideas

This @Forestviewhouse bathroom is perfect for squeezing into a small space, just under a meter wide. Of course, you can’t fit a shower or bath here, but the walk-in shower is very large because it uses the entire width of the wall. The large format white tiles make the space really light and airy, and the contrast between the black frame shower screen and the vanity console is so elegant and modern.

What we love is the smart slim and loose. The vanity is custom and the skirt is an elegant design that makes every inch of this small bathroom look great. The vanity unit provides plenty of storage here.

When designing your small bathroom, think about what you really need. If you enter a large shower, the glow will be one of more space than a cramped bath and shower. Think about how you live 95% of your life and make the room work for you.

Small Bathroom Ideas: Make Your Bathroom Feel Bigger

This next bathroom at @Luracoxhome is so beautiful and peaceful… the lovely soft furnishings and lots of plants make it so cosy. Our smart above the bathroom storage is your favorite. It really takes advantage of the high ceilings and is completely invisible, taking up valuable space in this small bathroom.

There is also a lot of light in this space and the natural tones used in the decor make the space feel really bright and spacious. We love it so much.

This next bathroom by Clare Heffernan Architects lives up to what we’ve always been told about small spaces…and we love it! With strong colors and bold prints, this space has bags of originality and personality, and there are many great lessons to be learned from this small bathroom.

The floor tiles are the same throughout the space resulting in a deeper bathroom. The shower screen is frameless, allowing for more space. The units are traditional in shape but have a very simple design and the independent vessel keeps the floor space free.

Modern Guest Bathroom Ideas Just The Finishing Touch

We love this wallpaper, and patterned wallpaper is a fun idea in a bathroom like this – without natural light, it doesn’t darken the room. The beautiful shiny tiles work perfectly with the wallpaper and make it stand out!

Consider a wet room in your bathroom that will allow you to feel like a small shower without being cramped. We love the design of the bathroom, with an open walk in shared shower but on a frameless screen. Keeping it open, there’s plenty of space, and the wood-effect tiles in the small bathroom add to the appeal.

A freestanding bathroom mounted on the wall means that the space is used to its full potential without compromising on style and form. We also love the extra storage on the shelf next to the bathroom which is a great idea…a great idea for a small bathroom and the colors are so soothing and relaxing.
