I tend to take my laundry in the bathroom, so having a washing machine to throw it in is really handy and eliminates the need for a large laundry basket.

How To Deal With A Tiny House Bathroom

You’ll be able to keep all your plumbing in one place, which should keep costs down.

Many small homes have a washing machine under the bathroom counter, using what would otherwise be dead space.

When you don’t have enough space to play with, it doesn’t make sense to have the shower in a completely separate cubicle. Instead, build a walk-in shower that opens up the room and makes it feel bigger.

Don’t want to cover the sink and toilet with water when you shower? There are ways around this – just place your shower head smartly.

Don’t have room for a full size sink? Instead, choose a slim freestanding sink and fit it into any space. You really only need room for a faucet and a small sink, so the actual sink can be small.

Most tiny houses are designed to be as cozy as possible. Extend the rustic feel of your bathroom by securing wood planks to the walls, then seal properly to prevent water damage.

There’s a reason stainless steel is used for outdoor appliances: It’s extremely durable and resistant to water damage.

Choosing stainless steel for your sink and fixtures helps create a cohesive look that makes the room feel less cluttered. When you’re working with a small space, it makes sense to keep the range of colors and materials small, otherwise the room will look chaotic.

A bathroom vanity can replace or complement built-in options such as wall niches and false shelves. False shelves along the shower, for example, or the bathtub, allow you to have all the bathroom products at hand without cluttering the limited space.

Medicine cabinets may not be as popular as they once were, but it’s time to bring them back into fashion. A hidden storage area behind the mirrors is a great clutter-free solution for a small bathroom.

This type of sink provides plenty of space for the bathroom products you need to have on hand and the decorative items you want to display.

Long and relatively narrow cabinets that extend from floor to ceiling add height to the room and fulfill the practical function of a large storage unit that will fit perfectly in a small bathroom.

Budget Friendly Small Bathroom Remodel And Update Ideas

Mounted sinks and wall-hung toilets are often seen in more modern and sophisticated bathroom designs. The biggest advantage of a floating vanity over traditional freestanding pieces is that it makes a room feel airier without taking up valuable space.

One of the first things you hesitate when considering a design for a small bathroom is choosing the right color for the walls. In reality, no color is inherently inappropriate for a small space, but the amount and type of light in the room should be considered.

If your bathroom has a lot of natural and artificial light, you can safely choose dark colors for the walls. On the other hand, dimly lit bathrooms rely on lighter shades to visually expand the space, or you can use light-reflecting colors and warm tones.
