Tiny Bathroom Ideas

Tiny Bathroom Ideas – Small bathrooms are standard in all homes; either because you live in a built-up area with lots of space, or you’ve expanded the space and added a new en-suite bathroom.

But a small bathroom doesn’t have to feel unloved and simple, and by making the most of your space, a small bathroom can look as stylish and spacious as it is practical.

Here are our small bathroom ideas to help make your space feel bigger, and some of the best small bathrooms to give you great inspiration.

Tips For Designing A Small Bathroom With Decor Ideas

This @thehousethatjenbuilt_ bathroom is an absolute masterclass in how to style a small bathroom while maximizing space. We often think that small bathrooms need to have fewer items to feel spacious, but these bathrooms look very comfortable and beautiful.

Firstly, so much light flows in that it really opens up the space – the window coverings allow privacy without blocking the light. The storage is cleverly placed above the toilet, topped with a beautiful towel. Sink consoles are smaller and can be hung on the wall so they don’t take up too much space.

What we love most about this small bathroom is the freestanding tub. It’s wall mounted so it doesn’t take up too much space and has the most amazing all-important shower screen that looks amazing and keeps water from splashing everywhere. Cute space with so many stylish small bathroom ideas.

We found this bathroom on the Insta account @prettyprospectcottage and thought it was an impressive little bathroom – stylish and luxurious.

Small Bathroom Ideas With Shower And Separate Bath — Helen K Lloyd

Dark colored lilypad tiles look bold and create an illusion of depth in this bathroom. White subway tiles work well to make this bathroom feel spacious and airy, and complement the features perfectly.

A shower over a tub works well, especially if you like to bathe and don’t want to turn a smaller room into a shower.

There is a lot of detail in this bathroom with brass taps and accessories showing that you don’t have to keep a small bathroom minimalistic to look amazing.

Mirrors create an illusion of space by reflecting light from surfaces and are a great idea for small bathrooms to make the room look bigger. Be bold and choose a mirror as large as possible, or even one that covers the entire wall.

Small Bathroom Ideas & How To Make It Look Bigger

This next bathroom by Loud Architects is absolutely stunning and perfect for a very small space. The perfect combination of blue and brass, makes it trendy but still looks luxurious. Wall mounted toilets and sinks are a great way to keep floor space free and the mix of tiles adds a lot of detail. This bathroom also uses underfloor heating, which provides more wall space than a bulky radiator. If your home does not have underfloor heating, electric underfloor heating works well in bathrooms, heating only a very small space.

A shower over the tub is a space saving idea and is perfect if you don’t want to give up showering in a small bathroom. Even if you don’t like the tub but plan to sell your home, keeping the tub is a good move.

The final style tip for this bathroom is the door – this bathroom has a pocket door which is a great idea for a small bathroom as the door doesn’t clutter the room. If you don’t have a pocket door, try to keep the door opening towards the hall or bedroom, not the bathroom.

If you think outside the box with the layout, you can fit everything into a small bathroom if you’re smart. Having a small bathroom doesn’t mean you have to give up a separate bathroom if you really want to relax in your own room! If you don’t have a big budget, plumbing is the limiting factor, but if you want to spend more money, you can change things for the design of your dreams.

Small Bathroom Ideas

This small bathroom from @_backtobrick_ on Instagram is one of the best small bathroom designs we’ve seen, with a large shower and freestanding tub in the room. The walk-in shower is large as it takes up the entire width of the room and the bath is cleverly placed on a raised platform behind the shower, so the bath area becomes a zone on separate We also love the interior design here with small format hexagonal tiles set against large white subway tiles. The corner of the tub and shower also has hidden shelves that provide plenty of space for toiletries. We really like it!

A walk-in shower is a great small bathroom idea if you have a long, narrow space where you can maximize the width with a large shower.

This stunning bathroom in @liznylon’s home Insta account works well because the large black shower tray is a great feature. A partial shower screen further adds to the spacious feel, leaving the feel of a shower while maintaining a splash-stop space.

We love the monochromatic look, mixed with soft pinks and greens to keep it bright and fresh. The sink console also has plenty of storage space, making it practical and stylish.

Small Bathroom Decorating Ideas With Big Impact

The bathroom in this @forestviewhouse house occupies a very small space, just over 1m wide – perfect for an en suite bathroom. Of course, the shower and bathtub cannot fit here, but the shower cubicle is very spacious because it takes up the entire width of the wall. The large format white tiles make the room really light and bright, while the contrast with the black framed shower screen and the sink console is so stylish and modern.

What we like most is the narrow, smart sink and vanity. This unit is custom made and the sink has a sleek design that makes it fit perfectly while maximizing every inch of this small bathroom. There is so much storage space in this toilet too, which is perfect.

When designing your small bathroom, think about what you need there. A large walk-in shower creates the illusion of a much larger space than a crowded tub and shower. Always think about how you live your life 95% of the time and make that space work for you.

Tiny Bathroom Ideas For A Beautiful And Functional Space

The next little bathroom in @lauracoxhome is so pretty and quiet…beautiful soft furnishings and lots of plants make it so cosy. What we love most is the clever storage above the bath. It is so tall that it makes the most of the high ceiling and is completely out of sight and does not take up valuable space in this small bathroom.

There is also plenty of light in this room, and the natural colors used in the interior design keep the room bright and spacious. We like it a lot.

This next bathroom by Clare Heffernan Architects defies what we’ve always been told about small spaces… and we love it! A room with strong colors and bold prints has a lot of individuality and personality, and there are many beautiful lessons in this small bathroom.

The floor tiles are the same throughout the room, creating the illusion of a deeper bathroom. There is no frame on the shower screen, which again creates the illusion of more space. The fixtures are traditional, but the design is very simple, and the separate sink keeps floor space free.

Smart Small Bathroom Ideas For 2024

We love this wallpaper, and patterned wallpaper is a fun idea for a bathroom like this – making the room less boring without natural light. The cute shiny tiles match the wallpaper perfectly and make them stand out!

Consider a wet room in the bathroom, which allows you to fit into a smaller bathroom without feeling cramped. We love Bathroom Eleven’s bathroom design, where the open shower is separated by just one frameless screen. There is so much space if left open and the wood effect tiling throughout the small bathroom adds even more space.

Again, a freestanding bathtub set against the wall means that the space is used to the maximum without compromising on style and form. We also love the extra storage on the hidden shelf on the side of the bathroom, great idea…great idea for a small bathroom and the colors are very calming and relaxing.
