There are always unexpected surprises in any design project. One such challenge in producing sea glass containers was the existing uniforms. At first it was planned to keep it for myself, but after seeing it in person, it became clear that the chest of drawers was too small and did not fit into the overall look of the room. (The photos I had didn’t show this angle and I couldn’t figure out how big it was.)

Never fear, we quickly adapted by scouring the warehouse for local wardrobe options that will enhance the beauty of the room. It took a trip to Myrtle Beach furniture stores, but this fix increased the functionality and visual appeal of the bedroom.

The bedroom is naturally a dark space, so I wanted the closet to be white to give it a beachy and airy feel. After looking through furniture stores, we settled on one of the options below on the right! It was the best quality, price and match to the existing headboard style we were looking for.

Another issue I noticed after visiting the home in person was that the existing end tables weren’t working either. They looked good, if unattractive, in the photos I was working on, but as I got closer I noticed they had chips and scratches. Plus, the boring similarities between the two mean we need to find another solution.

I received the end table from Wayfair, it arrived very quickly and from what I could tell online it looked like a great bed frame. To make sure the table coordinated with the pieces of the room, especially the bed and the new lamps that had already been purchased, I quickly added a canvas panel as shown below to have complete confidence when shopping online. .

Luckily, they looked even better in person. These were solid wood and brass tables that came together quickly and fit our budget. It was a success!

The other big issue with this room was the art. I ordered a beautiful piece, but it turned out to be too expensive due to an unexpected furniture purchase. So I took it back to Wayfair and found a Target sale that worked even better. Oh!

We also bought a new TV for this place, can I describe how insanely beautiful this place is? Seriously, whose idea was this? Of course, he also had to go down and plug in the big TV so he could hang it on the dresser.

Takeaway: Design projects often present unexpected challenges that require flexibility, problem-solving skills, and adaptability. The Sea Glass Condo bedroom makeover was an example of this approach! We encountered unexpected problems such as bad uniforms, broken tables, art budget restrictions. With quick thinking, creativity, and dedication to our vision, we successfully met these challenges and turned the bedroom into a beautiful, cohesive space.

When it comes to door handles, drawer pulls, and cabinet pulls, there are plenty of options, from bright and colorful to soft and sleek, just be sure to choose high-quality options that will last.

The right window treatment can complete the design of an entire room. I love using white linen curtains to brighten up a bedroom without overwhelming the space.

If you don’t plan on completely replacing all your furniture, sofa slipcovers are a good option to update the overall look. It is also easy to clean and replace if necessary.

To complement new or existing furniture, you can easily update cushions and/or slipcovers for a new look.

I always recommend a light and neutral bedding option for the bedroom so as not to distract from the style of the home and the natural surroundings.
