The only thing I can link here is the Target shower curtain. Like I said, most of the rest came from “snap” stores or I made them!

Last week I shared my half bath and mood board makeover plans… with you all and guess what?! I have completed Part 1: How to Refresh Your Half Bath on a Budget! Big thanks to my mom for helping me make this in just a few hours and under $200!
Because I’m doing this simple bathroom makeover on a limited budget, part 1 of a bigger project in the future!
Small Bathroom Ideas
Decorating a half bathroom can be a lot of fun because they are usually small spaces and offer a lot of opportunities for creativity. With half bath decor, you can make large patterns and embrace the idea of putting something unique and attractive in a small area.
To inject personality into the design, look for wall coverings or wallpapers that are ideal for half bathroom ideas. Consider adding classic details with bold lines or accents that have visual interest like black and white stamped tiles. Also consider highlighting features like glassware, metal hardware, unique tile shapes and intricate flooring – these ideas are sure to make your half bath stand out from the crowd!
This week I was able to transform our half bath in just one afternoon with some wonderful items from HomeDepot.com. Decorating a half bath doesn’t have to be expensive. Let me show you how I was able to update our half bath with just the decor and a few minor cosmetic changes.
Let me remind you what our bathroom looked like. This is our bottom half bath that most of our guests use and it is always pushed to the bottom of our list. Builder grade boring is what I like to call it.
Favorite Bathroom Makeovers On A Budget
The first thing I did when preparing for this refresh was to shop online at HomeDepot.com. I was recently very impressed with their home decor selection and knew I would find exactly what I was looking for.
Home Depot has an online-only decor selection including furniture, home and wall decor, cookware, small kitchen appliances, linens and towels, and tabletop decor (like dinnerware, glassware, and dinnerware)!
I found this gorgeous black accent mirror while shopping online at Homedepot.com! It immediately caught my attention. The moment I took down our old white mirror and replaced it with this black beauty, I knew the fresh one would make me smile!
After hanging the mirror, we replaced the two towels with new matte black ones to match the mirror. Black is a classic color and I love how it looks on our white walls.

Below is the new matte black tucal ring. We installed this instead of the previous one in just a few moments.
Next, there is an 18 inch matte black towel. This is now on the new wall. We moved it to the same wall as the door instead of the wall to the left of the mirror. This simple move frees up more space for beautiful art!
You can see the art (moved from my family room) and the new towel in the mirror reflection.
Once the mirror was open, I knew that our small silver light fixture and brown wall basket was not going to cut it. So for this semi refresh I picked up a can of Rustoleum Black Spray Paint and Satin from Home Depot and sprayed our existing fixtures.
Low Cost Bathroom Updates That Won’t Drain Your Savings
* It was difficult to get a good picture of the newly painted light year. So I apologize for the picture quality.
I was so happy to make these simple changes for only $200 and see such immediate results. It just looks so fresh and updated and not simpler. Plus I feel so good that it didn’t break the bank but still feels good!
I can’t afford new floors, wallpaper or light fixtures right now, but this semi-refresh on a budget will last me as long as I can!
Don’t be afraid to put your personal stamp on a small space like a half bath. With these ideas you can decorate a beautiful and stylish half bath without breaking the bank. That’s why we’ve come up with a new set of budget decorating ideas that actually make a difference. Just because we can’t splash out on the clawfoot tub of our dreams doesn’t mean we can’t give our bathroom a major design upgrade. By simply adding a plant or swapping out the cabinet hardware, these bathroom decorating ideas cost just $100 or less. Whether you implement one or several, any of these tips will give your bathroom the premium look and feel you’re looking for.
Privacy by installing cafe curtains. Go for a patterned option to enhance the overall character of the room, as Avery Cox Designs does in this room. If you want to get crafty, you can even trim it with the fabric of your choice.
If you’re tired of plain bathroom walls, fill them with framed art like designer Alexander Reid did in this room. Find inexpensive frames from places like flea markets, home goods, and Facebook Marketplace. Take pages from a coffee table book you already own, or invest in a new book to fill the frames with artwork.
Small Bathroom Remodel Before And After
Take inspiration from the cabinets in this bathroom designed by Toledo Geller. If you have simple built-in cabinets, use peel-and-stick wallpaper to fill their built-in surfaces. If you’re artistic, you can even paint the design directly onto the cabinet itself for a unique touch.
A vase with a beautiful bouquet of fresh flowers can instantly enhance the luxurious atmosphere of a bathroom. Take it easy from this bathroom designed by Lucy Harris, which features ceramics and flowers alongside art on floating shelves. If you want the look to last longer, go for artificial arrangements.
The next time you think about throwing away or selling a piece of furniture, consider bringing it into your bathroom. For example, you can skip the built-in shelves and create more storage space with an armoire. Both traditional and quirky, this unexpected element will make your bathroom more attractive. It is especially unique when paired with Fornasetti’s cloud-print wallpaper and modern eggplant stools, as it is in this bathroom decorated by Arendt & Pike.
Nothing screams luxury like a fully stocked fabric screen. All linen cabinets are a shame in this bathroom designed by Hacker Guthrie. Of course, fresh flowers and attractive mirrors enhance this effect.
Budget Friendly Bathroom Decor Ideas To Revitalize Your Space
Brass features add “a hint of luxury and a nod to older styles,” says designer Shari Francis of this bathroom, which she’s given a cosmetic update. Is there an easy but cheap way to do it? Includes brass accessories. If not with a faucet or mirror, use a brass soap dispenser, tissue box, toothbrush or even a set of hardware for hanging towels and clothes.
Enjoy a regular bubble bath? Like designer Elizabeth, place a small table next to your tub
