Powder Room Decorating Ideas On A Budget – ! So today I’m going to tell you what’s behind the secret door in our closet and give you the details on a $90 powder room upgrade. My goal is simple: I want a nice and clean space (and finally get rid of old paper).
Wainscot or board & batten (I find this done a lot too). New jewelry (with what I have) and an antique gold mirror (still looking, can’t find it online yet at a reasonable price). I thought the finished wooden cabinet would look like an illusion, but it is. I haven’t seen any yet. I also decided on the gray color (Olympic Gray Ghost), which I have in our bag.

Showing off my very poor wallpaper choices from 2005. Obviously, wallpapers are the main reason I wrote this room. I will tell you the details of how I tried to get out of the box during this time.
Powder Room Remodel Ideas On A Budget
First: we removed the old board and replaced it with the new Pergo Outlast+. And the old form must go.
Wallpaper removal: Wallpaper is removed using a Shark Steamer, fabric softener and plastic sandpaper. If the wallpaper is hard, I use this tool to cut through the wallpaper, then put a wet cloth (1 part water, 1 part fabric softener) on it. Then loosen it with plastic wrap. But in this case, the wallpaper is easily removed without damaging the wall.
When we were done, we removed the toilet and sink base so we could finish the Pergo Outlast+ floor (click here to see our Pergo floor project). We then added a white cavity around the perimeter of the room to fill the gap between the floor and the wall.
I lightly sanded the stains on the walls and then repainted the entire room with Satin Room Gray Ghost from Olympic Paint & Stain. For the half bath, I stayed with the whole house color palette. Throughout the house I try to use colors that complement each other. So gray fits our color scheme.
How To Decorate A Bathroom Countertop: Functional Ideas
After the walls were finished, I painted the door black with Iron Gate from Heirloom Traditions Paint. Then I decorated with existing decorations I had around the house.
My room update is pretty simple these days. It’s partly budget conscious, but I like to finish a room simply. In retrospect, I thought bathrooms needed maintenance every few years, and I was guilty of neglecting them for so long.

The rest of the bathroom will be blogged this week along with other projects we want to finish. I hope you’ll get in touch – we found a new option on the board (a board you can cut with scissors) that I think you’ll like.

Ideas For Decorating A Bathroom On A Budget
Sometimes I get crazy thoughts. Donnie knows that. I always remind him that this is something he loves me for. 😉
He always speaks up when I have ideas. I’m going to start posting smart (or less smart) characters. He often tried to talk me out of it and listed many reasons [very true] why I thought I was crazy… well, crazy. But usually. Ouch.
But, I promise – building a scrotum once we reached our eyes in the kitchen made a lot of sense!

Everything is nice and bright and wonderful (it’s not finished yet, but we’re getting there) and it looks great. I also put three old shirts in the dining room to go to…
I know it’s hard to explain everything anywhere, so I made a small picture 🙂 :
Do you see what is next to the kitchen that is equipped with a pantry that is beautiful and beautiful?

Since the kitchen eats up most of my home improvement budget, I wanted to do the “makeover” for this room as cheaply as possible and set a limit of $50. The room is small, but the accessories and accessories can pile up quickly, so I know I’m driving! So how do I decorate a powder room on a budget? I’m glad you asked!
Many thanks to Behr for sponsoring this post! My best advice for beautiful makeup, beautiful, 100% me. 🙂 See my comments here for more info.
I started with one of the cheapest ways to change a room – painting. There was some paint left over from the first bedroom painting and I liked it so I decided to use that for the walls. (The color is Behr Marquee’s Silver City MQ2-59.)
Two Day Powder Room Makeover
The vanity really needed a change, so I grabbed a small sample of Behr Premium Plus Ultra Clear Pond PPU13-15 for $4 and I was in business. Because I work in a room without a little water? Answer: no. (If you’ve never done it before, this post has great tips for painting a bathroom!)
I’m always amazed at how much a little paint and a few objects can change a room. hello powder blue hello…
… light, light, beautiful! I’m always afraid when I try to pick a watercolor that will be too blue or green or neon. But Clear Pond is perfect – the seasonal color I’ve been looking for.
Not bad for $4 worth of paint + the little drive I got! 🙂 Oh, and about that…
Powder Room Ideas That Pack Style Into A Small Space
Painted in my favorite shade of white (yes, really white!), Behr Marquee Cameo White MQ3-32. The shelf and everything on it is worth $0 to me – all the things I own.

One of my favorite ways to save money on art is to think outside the box and buy things I don’t need. The floral “print” on my board is wrapping paper.
I’ve also made gift bags in the past, using fabric, napkins, fancy cards, old pages, color chips, washi tape designs – so many options!
Stunning Powder Room Ideas With Modern Charm
I also love giving family gifts that have special meaning (and are free!). The old books are my grandmother, who I never met, and of course I put an old black and white photo on the wall of the shelf.
