Bathroom Designs With Separate Tub And Shower

Bathroom Designs With Separate Tub And Shower – Last year, our customers in Katy saw an impressive bathroom renovation for a family member.  So when they decided to renovate their bathroom, they called us.  So why look for another reliable contractor when your family tells you about their pleasant experience?  Plus, the west Houston sales and design center is only five minutes from their home, so we’re perfect for their bathroom, just like Katy.

The shower is the focal point of this renovation.  Full height walls and a sloping ceiling closed off the old shower.  There was also a cultured marble shower cubicle and a very small entrance with a gold-framed door.  In dim lighting, this shower felt a bit like a dungeon.  This type of bathroom is found in many houses built in the 80s.  It was undoubtedly time to update the bathroom in this otherwise beautiful home.

We’ve explored a few ideas to make your shower look bigger.  Finally, in close cooperation with our customers, we decided on one that minimizes the change in the floor plan of the bathroom.

Despite this, we continued to tear down the walls of the showers.  It turned out that one of the walls of this two-story building could withstand it.  So we developed a frame plan that called for a large beam to be built into the roof.  The beams previously supported on the wall would be connected to this new beam.  All in one working day for professional project managers and traders…

Instead of full-height walls, we built an L-shaped pony wall (half-wall) that surrounds the shower and the Tub and provides privacy.  Contemporary frameless glass replaced the old gold-framed shower door.  We also added a very comfortable bench in the shower, a hand shower unit and two recessed alcoves for soap and shampoo.  Adding LED lights to the cans really brightened up the space.

For the field tiles for the shower walls, they chose Atessa Brillo 12″x24″ with a broken seam pattern.  They used the same tiles, but in a 24″ x 24″ grid pattern, on the bathroom floor.  Our customers love it so much that they decided to expand their master cabinets with tiles to replace the old carpet.  We installed Morocco Blend Small Bricks for the accent tiles used on the shower floor, shower cubicle and around the new Bathtub.

This tile combination is really effortlessly stylish.  When you walk into a remodeled bathroom, especially for those visitors who have seen the original bathroom, you just say, “Wow!”

Bathroom Design: Find Out How To Create A Space You Love

Our customers loved their existing cabinets, so we painted them in the very popular Dover White color.  However, we removed the outdated and worn cultured marble tiles in favor of Nero Argento granite, which really pops.  After removing the floral wallpaper, we painted the walls Dover White.  New vanity lights, mirrors, sinks and faucets provided the final bathroom update for this Katy bathroom mod.  Click the arrows in the image below to see the amazing transformation before and after!

These beautiful people are now making the most of their master bath every day.  All customers rightly expect such luxury and beauty in their home.  Now they can fool close family members who told us who has the better bathroom.  We call it a tie, but going forward we want to settle the kitchen remodeling debate for everyone… Call 281-548-2436 and see how we can transform your home! When I started thinking about how I would approach the design of my bathroom. I was really struggling to find ideas for small bathrooms with separate showers and tubs that took into account both my relatively small bathroom and construction considerations.

I soon realized that I was making my life miserable by eating lots of little pictures of the bathroom. I’m a little stuck if I like a design or a certain item that just doesn’t fit the size of my bathroom. The best way for me was to take a step back from the photos, define my own look and find the products that fit my bathroom and lifestyle within those parameters.

My compact bathroom is 2100mm x 2740mm and the ceiling height is 2570mm. It has one unobstructed window to the west, so the bathroom doesn’t get direct sunlight until the afternoon, and the window has a slanted door. The bathroom is outside the house, above the kitchen, so most of the walls behind the wall tiles are brick.

Bathroom Remodel Cost

To make bathroom planning easier, I’ve listed my and my boyfriend Rob’s current bathroom likes and dislikes (aside from aesthetics). He then wrote about our wishes, which included how we would like to use the bathroom and how we would like to feel in the room.

This may sound strange to those who only see small bathrooms as a functional space, but I personally associate words and phrases like “relaxation” and “space for reflection” with my bathroom. After receiving this information, I thought about best practices for plumbing, especially in restrooms. I always recommend talking to a builder/plumber to find out what is possible.

Doing all of the above helped me map out all the requirements the layout was trying to meet, as well as design details like storage and hidden electrical outlets. Both Rob and I have showers so a more luxurious walking experience was on the wish list. I also enjoy the occasional bath game, although there are no plans to move anytime soon, the bath is a nice addition, so I wanted to pick a place for a separate bath.

This is the final layout of my small bathroom with separate shower and tub. Hope it gives you some ideas for small bathrooms.

Tricks To Make A Small Bathroom Look Bigger

The renderings help to show the look of my bathroom, but there will be changes and additions to the final design, such as…

Lighter microcement is used on the walls, floor and ceiling – inspiration below. I add character to works of art, ceramics and plants.

The door’s style and opening direction are changed so that they do not accidentally hit the glass.

The mirror is matte white and organically shaped as in the example below, and has two Flos mini-glo spherical wall lights. The micro-cement sink includes drawers for storing the toilet.

Small Bathroom Ideas To Make A Style Statement

The actual bathroom photos show that there is an extra piece of chimney in the corner of the room. Instead of removing it, builders make sure it’s structurally sound to convert it into storage.

A smaller heated towel rail is used so that it does not dominate the small space, and a specially designed bathtub is installed for a little more space.
