Best Color For Bathroom With No Windows

Best Color For Bathroom With No Windows – For the past few months, I have been helping my father decorate the second floor of his house. Before I took over, it was an empty space in need of paint, furniture and character.

When my father bought this house, he renovated the bathroom and it was perfect with marble floors, white tile walls, a large white bathtub and a modern vanity. It’s not a small bathroom, it’s huge. However, the design looks a bit rough.

I knew right away that the white walls didn’t go well with the design elements of the space. So a fresh coat of paint will be my first order of business.

Bathroom Color Ideas That Will Wake Up Your Space

Since this is a windowless bathroom, choosing the best paint color can be difficult. Natural light is very helpful in determining the right paint color.

Contrary to popular belief, bright white is not a good choice for a windowless space as it can make the room feel cold and gloomy.

I prefer medium or dark colors to create a warm atmosphere, like the dark green paint on the bathroom wall in the basement. It is recommended to avoid very bright or bright colors, as they will look harsh in artificial light.

In the next living room I go with Benjamin Moore, “Boothbay Grey”. It’s a medium color that reads like a light grayish blue. I want the colors in the guest bathroom to complement this and feel like a spa.

Small Bathroom Color Ideas For The Perfect Palette

I chose a shade darker than Boothbay Grade. In small rooms I use dark colors to create a cozy and intimate atmosphere. Now the place is white, with marble floors and walls. Let’s add distinction and elegance!

In a windowless room, dark paint colors absorb light instead of reflecting it. It completely changes the feel of the room! It makes the space more attractive and surrounds you with color. However, we need to add some ambient lighting to the room (I’ll talk about that in a moment).

I knew I wanted a paint color to complement the Boothbay Grey, so I looked at other colors in the upcoming paint scheme first.

I don’t have an exact paint model, but I googled the paint code for Boothbay Gray and it was HC-165. Then you can search for nearby colors (HC-164 or HC-166) and see what works for your design. This is a great trick and will save you trips to the paint store when it comes to getting paint color inspiration.

Ideas: Add Style To A Small Bathroom

I also recommend going to the paint manufacturer’s website and looking for the color they recommend along with the specific color. I sing to Boothbay Grey, and immediately fell in love with Night Train, pictured above.

I know picking the perfect paint color can be overwhelming, but I hope these little tricks help. Then read this article for more ideas on how to get the perfect color!

It’s rare to choose a paint color without a picture of a sample on the wall. Here are some tips for this important step in the paint color selection process…

These are the colors I tried. I painted Benjamin Moore “Boothbay Gray” over it (painting the next bedroom color) to make sure it complimented the winning color. I think these three colors can be used with the blue-gray of Boothbay Grey.

When I drew this color, I had no idea what the winner would be. Everyone looked good in the place. However, if I draw near the blank, I know what I like better.

I don’t want to choose a matching color because the blank color will stay the same. However, I wanted it to be a bit darker. I like the medium color (“Brewster Grey”) best. The green on top looks a little harsh next to the gray ceramic paint, while the bottom looks muddy and yellowish.

I think Brewster Gray is the perfect wall color for this room. It is blue in color and will look great with the adjacent living room items. It will be the perfect background for other elements of the space.

Now that I know the paint color, let’s dive into the design plan for the rest of the space. We will keep all the basic items in the room (number, mirror, toilet). This is my plan to add warmth and sophistication.

In the photo above, you can see a long white wall on the right side of the room. The towel wasn’t working (Sorry, Dad!), so I ditched it.

Next, let’s add the wooden wall treatment. You know I like it because I’ve done all my home design. We have ship trunks, picture frame moldings, chalkboards, bantans, chalkboards and more! I knew the ship would be too rustic for dad’s style, so I went back and forth printing frames, boards, and planks.

The attached guest bedroom will have an art deco style, so I think a picture frame print is the best choice for this bathroom. It’s a wonderful way to add interest and bring life and character to a small space!

I’m thinking of doing chair rail and frame molding on the bottom of the wall, and wallpapering the top. However, since the walls of the bath have partitions and niches, I decided that it would be better to print on the ceiling.

Calming Bathroom Color Schemes For A Spa Like Retreat

Until now, father’s bathroom was lit only by a cold light bulb. This is not very pleasant, and this is one of the reasons why the bathroom is flat.

Every room needs at least 2-3 light sources, so I recommend adding this gold lamp to the mirror. You can read more about lighting password rules in this blog post. If in doubt, add another lamp in an area with less natural light.

I recommend mixing metals (lights, etc.) and 2-3 metallic finishes in a room, and I explain why in this blog.

Now, the mounts are silver chrome, which makes for a pleasant read. Add a touch of gold to warm up your bathroom. We’ll leave the faucets and bowl hardware as is, but let’s make new gold towel rings, gold bowl handles, and various gold accessories. This small change can make a big difference!

The Best Bathroom Paint Colors (and How To Use Them)

In the source list below, you’ll notice that I selected all of my gold hardware from one retailer – West Elm. Because brass and gold can have different tones. I recommend always buying from the same retailer to see if the colors and shades match.

Empty lamp // wardrobe knob // towel ring // wooden towel rack // rug // wooden wall shelf // art

With the basics in place, it’s time to move on to the fun stuff: decorations and accessories. Cool marble floors call for a nice rug. I would choose it, it would fill the space and add color and texture to the floor.

I’m also really excited about this wooden towel rack to fill the long wall space. Wood is a smart idea to add warmth to cold spaces, it will add some functionality and warmth!

Also in the bathroom, let’s choose a wooden shelf. I love the curves on this and the cane is amazing!

I ordered all the furniture for the guest bedroom and the balcony. A professional artist even started working in this room! I have a DIY project in mind for the loft space (new wood wall decor, I’d love to try that!) so I’ll keep you posted as the space comes together.

The Best Paint Colours For An Almond / Bone Bathroom

Almost every room in my house has at least one source of natural light. But two rooms—two small, windowless bathrooms—became too difficult to redesign. For example, my guest bathroom is very functional; but I didn’t like being there because it was closed. If I have another visitor, I probably won’t. I think yes
