Toilet Top Decor Ideas

Toilet Top Decor Ideas – As soon as I finish renovating my girls’ bathroom, I take care of all the details, from hand towels to toothbrush holders and…what to wear and above the sink. It can be a difficult place to find yourself! So with style and functionality in mind, today I’m sharing bathroom vanity decorating ideas from my current and past bathrooms. Let’s get to it…

I use decorative trays in our home because they are perfect for grouping things together to create a cohesive look. In the bathroom, I used double sinks between two sinks and also trays in the toilets. For example, as part of our powder room vanity decor, I have:

What can you put in your bathroom? Use them for bathroom essentials or decorative items like real or fake flowers, a small potted plant, a scented candle or diffuser, or extra toilet paper (more on tippy storage below…).

Toilet tanks can be the best place to store extra toilet paper rolls, especially in guest bathrooms and powder rooms where you need extra rolls for guests. You can store multiple TP rolls in a basket to hold more toilet paper:

You can also add a single, unwrapped roll of toilet paper to a storage tray or basket. If you want to spice things up a bit, here’s a way to add some fun styling…add a ‘stamp’ by folding the tip of your TP roll into a triangle and taping it. Simply turn the water on and off and press the tip of the tipi roller onto the faucet head:

The wet pipe head seals the end of the toilet paper roll, leaving a circular “scratch” pattern:

Adding a covered box or basket to your toilet tank, like this one, provides a practical toilet decorating solution to increase your storage space:

Use it to keep toilet paper, wipes, menstrual products, hand towels, and other bathroom essentials within everyone’s reach:

This is a particularly good solution if you have limited storage space in your bathroom, such as a powder room with a pedestal sink.

A vanity top can be a fun place to display contemporary decor, especially in a powder room. Use miniature pumpkins in the fall, bouquets in the spring, or glowing pottery for the holidays:

Some bathrooms have very small or closed tanks that don’t work well for adding decorations to the bathroom. In other cases, you just need more storage space than above your toilet. That’s when you want to consider closet storage solutions. Some options include wall mounted shelves like this one I added before and after the bathroom.

Friends, there’s a reason you don’t usually see my bathrooms. As much as I don’t care for them, comprehensive reform is out of the question, both financially and financially. However, the part that bothered me the most about our bathroom was the sink in our master bathroom. Well, I’ve been talking about the amazing transformation that’s coming up soon, but I’m blown away by how big the place has been… I’m so excited to finally share with you the drastic transformation we’ve been able to accomplish in less than two months. Days. You don’t hear much about bathrooms: how they look or their potential. Before, it was pretty normal: an empty, dungeon-like room. Without natural light, the picture looks very dark and dark. Can you believe this is the same painting that looks so clear and bright in our great room?!

When I decided to do this project, I had a few things in mind. 1. It should be quick and relatively painless. I was in the middle of a major bedroom makeover (reveal this Thursday!) so I didn’t want to take anything away.

Hard work. 2. I wanted to make the most of the site and add some functions. It’s a small space (hello, the purpose is to house a bathroom) but it’s big enough to come up with some creative storage solutions and answer some of my space challenges. 3. I wanted it to be “happy”, simple and bright. What about the result?

. No torn tiles, no mess… just cosmetic improvements and storage. I didn’t even have to order from multiple sources – Bed Bath & Beyond carries everything from vanity and lighting (I had no idea they carried such a thing, much less vanity furniture). I also signed up for the new Beyond+ program; For $29, you get 20% off your total purchase and free shipping on every order. You can see more information on how to register here. I loved that everything showed up at my door, but after everything arrived I took a quick trip to the store to make sure I didn’t forget anything (and to see the wall of gadgets at BB&B haha my favorite part of shopping). They carry my favorite cleansing line (I’ve talked about it a few times), so I picked up an extra little bottle of Hope.

So there were a few areas we talked about: 1. walls (new paint and wallpaper), 2. lighting (“getting rid of the bubble light”), 3. storage, and finally 4. furniture. The first thing I did was get rid of everything (not much! haha), take down the light fixture and paint the walls Benjamin Moore Simply White that was left over from the bedroom. I’m no painter but the room is small so I thought I might as well give it a shot. I didn’t think I’d need to bring in an external work light (what was I thinking when the fixture was removed, no natural light?! haha) or prepare the clothing size (with primer, different ceiling color, etc.) “Wu .) and prayed that the light would show the whole job when it was installed. (good for him) Thx!) The painting was actually 3/4 of the work. Oh, and if you want to dye it, make sure to wear your hair in a high messy bun so you can add text strokes all over the walls and still pick out the scraps after two weeks 😉

Dave then hung the lights. I chose a light, bright, airy and modern style, so I wanted to limit myself to chrome accessories and had the idea to hang something a little more interesting above the bathroom. This flashlight comes in different colors and sizes, but the three-light type stands out

Dave put it on a dimmer which I particularly like – super soft light in the middle of the night? yes please!

The next part of the project was the one I was most hesitant about, but ended up being my favorite part. The room is quite small so I wanted some sort of detail/acoustic wall. But like I said I wanted something quick and painless and renting something crazy wasn’t in the budget. I love the wallpaper trend, but don’t count on ruining the precious wallpaper (and my walls). I haven’t implemented the wallpaper yet (I see what’s needed for the wallpaper: just hanging the grasscloth over my built-in interior), I just don’t want to. But, (shocked again), in my browsing, I saw that Bed Bath & Beyond has a selection of temporary, peel and stick wallpaper (see them all here). The statement does not damage the wall and you can remove it when you are finished. It’s super cheap, so worst case scenario, if I decide in the middle of it that I can’t do it, I just give up and pretend it never happened. I decided to go for it using a box cutter and a ruler (eg
