Bathroom Ideas With Separate Tub And Shower

Bathroom Ideas With Separate Tub And Shower – When I started thinking about how I would approach my bathroom design, I really struggled to come up with ideas for a small bathroom with a separate shower and tub considering the relatively small size of my bathroom and its construction considerations.

I quickly realized that I was making my life difficult by using too many small pictures in the bathroom. I used to worry a bit about liking certain designs or items that didn’t fit the size of my bathroom. The best approach for me is to step back from the photos and define my own layout, and within those parameters, find items that fit my bathroom and lifestyle.

My compact bathroom measures 2100mm by 2740mm and has a ceiling height of 2570mm. It has an open window facing west, so the bathroom does not receive direct sunlight until afternoon and the door is located diagonally from the window. The bathroom is in the stabilizer section of the house, above the kitchen, so most of the walls behind the tiles are brick.

Planning Your Bathroom Layout

To help plan my bathroom layout, I listed Rob and my girlfriend’s likes and dislikes (aside from aesthetics) in our current bathroom. I then wrote our wish list which included how we wanted to use the bathroom and how we would feel in the room.

This may seem strange to people who see small bathrooms as purely functional spaces, but I personally associate words and phrases like “relaxation” and “space for thinking” with my bathroom. Once I got this information, I considered the best practices regarding plumbing, especially for bathrooms. I always recommend talking to your builder/plumber to see what is possible.

Doing all of the above helped me map out all the requirements the layout had to meet, as well as plan details such as storage space and hidden electrical outlets. Rob and I both shower a lot, so his wish list included a more luxurious entry experience. I also enjoy the occasional shower, and while I’m not planning on moving house anytime soon, showers are a great selling point, so I’d like to dedicate a place for a separate bathroom.

This is the final layout of my small bathroom with a separate shower and tub. I hope this gives you some small bathroom ideas.

Luxurious Walk In Showers

The renderings help illustrate the layout of my bathroom, but there will be changes and additions to the final design, such as…

Lighter colored micro-cement will be used on the walls, floor and ceiling – inspiration below. I will add a touch of art, ceramics, and plants.

The door style and opening direction will be changed to prevent accidental hitting of the glass.

The vanity mirror will be matte white and organically shaped like the example below, next to two Ball Flos mini-glo wall lamps. Microcement sink units are equipped with drawers for storing personal hygiene products.

Timeless Bathroom Ideas For Your Oregon Home

In the current photo of the bathroom you can see there is an extra chimney in the corner of the room. Instead of moving it, the builder will ensure that the structure is good enough to be converted into storage.

A smaller heated towel rail will be used so as not to dominate the small space, and a custom-shaped bathtub will be installed to provide more space.
