Refreshing Windowless Bathroom Ideas From The House & Garden Archive

This bathroom by @thehousethatjenbuilt_ is a master at making lots of space to make a small bathroom look great. We often think that we need to put some things in a small bathroom to make it feel spacious, but this bathroom looks luxurious and amazing.

Firstly there is so much light that it really opens up the space – the shutters allow privacy without blocking the light. A smart storage unit above the bathroom with beautiful towels shown above. The sink console is small in size and attached to the wall, so it does not take up much space.

Our favorite is the stand alone shower in this small bathroom. It is wall mounted so it doesn’t take up much space and has the most amazing crystal shower screen that looks amazing and stops water from splashing everywhere. Such a great site with so many great bathroom ideas.

We found this bathroom from the Insta account @prettyprospectcottage and thought it was a very interesting bathroom – beautiful and luxurious.

Bold Ideas For A Small Bathroom Remodel

The dark lilac colors are subtle and give this bathroom a sense of depth. White subway tiles do a great job of making this bathroom look spacious and compliment its features well.

A walk-in shower works well, especially if you have a shower and don’t want to turn a small space into a bathroom.

This bathroom has lots of details with copper faucets and fixtures, which goes to show that you don’t have to make the bathroom spectacular.

Mirrors give a sense of space by reflecting light on a surface and are a great small bathroom idea for making a space appear larger. Be bold and go for a large mirror if possible or a mirror that covers the entire wall.

Best Small Bathroom Organization Ideas

This bathroom designed by Laud Architects is truly amazing and makes a very small space. The combination of blue and bronze is perfect, looking luxurious, it’s always there. A wall-hung toilet and basin is a great way to free up floor space and the complexity of the design adds a lot of detail. This bathroom also uses underfloor heating which frees up wall space to include a fat radiator. If you don’t have underfloor heating throughout your home, an electric underfloor heating system works well in a bathroom where it heats a much smaller area.

A walk-in shower is an obvious space-saving idea and is perfect if you don’t want to shower in a small bathroom. If you don’t have a bathroom but your goal is to sell your home, closing off the bathroom is a good move.

The final feature of this shower is the door – this shower has a pocket door which is a good idea for a small bathroom as you don’t have a door to obstruct. If you don’t have a pocket door, try opening a hallway or bedroom door instead of the bathroom.

If you think outside the box with design, you can smartly combine everything in a small bathroom. Having a small bathroom doesn’t mean you have to leave the bathroom alone if you really love your time in your sanctuary! If you don’t have a big budget, the water pipes will be a limiting factor, but you can change the surroundings to match the design of your dreams if you want to spend more money.

Fresh Bathroom Inspiration Ideas To Kickstart Your Design

This small bathroom by @_backtobrick_ on Instagram is one of the best bathroom designs we’ve seen with a large shower and a stand-alone shower. Walking through the bathroom is fun because it uses the entire width of the room and the shower is cleverly placed after the shower, defining the bathroom as a separate area. We also love the decor here, with small hexagonal tiles set against large white subway tiles. The bath and shower also have clever built-in shelves that provide plenty of space for toiletries. We love it!

A walk-in shower is a great bathroom idea when you have a long, narrow space that you can widen with a large shower.

This beautiful bathroom by the insta account @liznylon is very functional with a large black shower tray. A partial wash basin adds a sense of space, a feeling of walking into the shower while still having space to stop the spray.

We love the monochrome look mixed with soft pinks and greens to keep it bright and fresh. The sink console also has plenty of storage, so it’s practical and stylish.

Top Tips & Design Ideas For Small Bathrooms

This bathroom at @forestviewhouse is a very small space at just over 1m wide – perfect for an en-suite bathroom. Of course you won’t fit a shower and a bath here, but the shower has a lot of space because it uses the entire width of the wall. Large format white tiles make the space light and bright but look stylish and modern in contrast to the black framed bathroom display and sink console.

Our favorite is the narrow and empty unit. Custom built-in vanities and sinks are a sleek design, which helps them blend in well while minimizing every corner of this bathroom. The vanity unit here also offers so much storage that it’s perfect.

When designing your small bathroom, think about what you need there. A large walk in shower gives the impression of more space than a shower with a pull out shower. Always think about how you spend 95% of your life and make that room work for you.

This little bathroom @lauracoxhome is so beautiful and peaceful… beautiful soft furnishings and lots of plants make it look like a queen. Our favorite is the clever storage above the shower. It is really long to use the shape of the high ceiling and it is not visible, it takes up significant space in a small bathroom.

The space also has a lot of light and the natural tones used in the decor make the space feel bright and spacious. We love it so much.

This bathroom by Clare Heffernan Architects defies what we’re told about small spaces… and we love it! With strong colors and bold prints, this space has bags of personality and personality and there are many wonderful lessons you can learn from this small bathroom.

The floor dimensions are similar in space giving the illusion of a very deep bathroom. The shower tray has no shape which gives the impression of more space. The appliances are traditional in style but very simple in design and the freestanding sink takes up empty floor space.

Tips For Designing A Small Bathroom With Decor Ideas

We love this wall and patterned wallpaper in the bathroom is a great idea – without natural light it prevents the room from being dull. Beautiful glitter nails work well with the wall and make it pop!

Consider a closet in your bathroom that will allow you to fit into a small room without feeling cramped. We love this bathroom design by Bathroom Eleven where the open space is only separated by a frameless screen. With its openness, there is plenty of space and the wood effect tiles in the small bathroom add extra space.

A free-standing shelf placed against the wall also means that the space is used to its full potential without compromising on style and form. We also love the extra storage on the built-in bench next to the bathroom, which is a great idea… Nice little idea for a bathroom and the colors are totally calming and relaxing.
